慶佳節勿墮暴飲陷阱 劈酒趨年輕化 酒精中毒可致死 (只有中文版)
聖誕除夕將至,年輕人少不免會參加派對、出外聚餐或倒數狂歡,而這些聚會都常有酒精飲品供應。衞生署於2014年4月進行的「行為風險因素調查」結果顯示,13.7%的18至64歲成年人為一星期內最少飲酒一次的定期飲酒人士。另外,6.8%的被訪者曾經在過去一個月內最少有一次暴飲(俗稱「劈酒」),即連續飲用60克或以上的純酒精(相等於五罐啤酒或五杯餐酒或五杯烈酒)。當中以25至34歲年齡組別的年輕人較多。此外,本港近年因暴飲猝死、醉酒後失足從高處墮下、游泳遇溺或鬧事等新聞屢見不鮮,情況令人關注。
衞生署衞生防護中心醫生吳珏翹接受《成報》訪問時解釋,年輕人選擇飲酒或者「劈酒」有很多原因。除了個人因素例如以往的飲酒經驗、性格之外,某些校園及社會經歷亦是年輕人養成飲酒習慣的關鍵。事實上,由中學升上大學或完成學業投身社會工作,在某程度上意味着個人的更多自主權。學生離開父母轉為追求朋輩間的接納,建立新的朋輩網絡會帶來更多社交的機會,包括在慶祝場合飲酒和自願或被朋友慫恿下參加危險的鬥酒遊戲等。
宿舍少管制 酒精易接觸
有研究指出,學生於大學一年級增加飲酒以及大量飲酒的模式,通常由大學持續至青壯年。入住有大量年輕人聚集的校園宿舍,或校園以外没有家長監管住所的學生,他們飲酒的次數會較與父母同住的學生頻繁,而且飲酒量較大、較經常出現暴飲和與酒精相關的問題。當大學的環境有強烈的飲酒文化、校園內較少管制酒精的政策,或現行管制酒精政策未有切實執行,酒精飲品價格低廉、大量酒精飲品宣傳及推廣滲透校園環境,容易令學生接觸到酒精,亦可使暴飲行為更為常見。 長期「劈酒」損記憶力 吳珏翹醫生指出暴飲的禍害非常深遠,例如會增加意外受傷、牽涉入暴力事件、道路交通意外及進行不安全性行為的風險。而短時間內大量飲酒會對身體造成各種不同的即時影響,由一開始判決力變差、自制能力減弱,再進一步至口齒不清、動作不協調及平衡力減弱;身體繼續攝入更多的酒精可能會出現昏迷,更嚴重可因為酒精中毒死亡。暴飲之後出現的宿醉症狀,例如疲倦、頭痛、肌肉痠痛、口渴、頭暈、認知困難和心情煩亂等可以持續24小時,繼而影響工作或學業表現,導致缺勤、缺課等情況。 再者,他稱長期暴飲有機會導致酒後行為失常,引致抑鬱、焦慮和記憶力受損等情況。因此,「劈酒」其實是傷害自己又影響別人的不明智行為。吳醫生建議年輕人應該選擇避免飲酒以及暴飲;而習慣暴飲的人士更應盡量減少飲酒,並訂立計劃,達到減少飲酒的目標。 佳節本身是跟朋友家人聚首一堂的美好時光,別因為一時貪杯而墮入暴飲的陷阱,發生意外令自己狼狽不堪、樂極生悲。如果一旦發現身邊的飲酒人士出現急性酒精中毒徵狀,包括精神錯亂、昏迷、抽搐、吸吸困難、面色蒼白等,便應立即召救護車送院治理。 倘若你希望遠離酒精,你的醫生可以為你提供專業協助。
