12 May 2018, 2 June 2018 & 9 June 2018
The Department of Health delegated the TWGHs “Stay Sober Stay Free” Alcohol Abuse Prevention and Treatment Service to conduct three “Alcohol-free Generation Z” Interactive Health Education Sessions to the Auxiliary Medical Service (AMS) Cadet. The sessions were successfully conducted at Ho Man Tin AMS Headquarter on 12 May 2018, 2 June 2018 and 9 June 2018 respectively.
Around 400 cadets and leaders from the New Territories, Kowloon and Hong Kong Zone of the AMS participated in the programme. The Interactive Health Education Session aimed to enhance AMS cadets’ and cadet leaders’ knowledge of alcohol harms and the importance of refusing drinking. The cadets and cadet leaders actively participated in the interactive game sessions and responded enthusiastically.
Through the multi-media health education materials, cadets and cadet leaders not only enhanced the understanding of “Alcohol Harm”, but also increased the awareness on the “Marketing Traps on Alcohol”, and learned to “Say No to Alcohol”.
