Report of Unintentional Injury Survey 2018
In accordance with the recommendation of the Action Plan to Strengthen Prevention of Unintentional Injuries in Hong Kong published in 2015, the Department of Health conducted a face-to-face household survey between 2018 and 2019 to collect pertinent information about the characteristics and burden of unintentional injuries (common known as "accidents") in Hong Kong. Recommendations to the general public, on specific types of injuries and different life stages to prevent unintentional injuries were made in the report.
Hong Kong Drowning Report
In accordance with the recommendation of the Action Plan to Strengthen Prevention of Unintentional Injuries in Hong Kong published in 2015, the Department of Health conducted a review of records kept by the Coroner’s Court and analysed data on unintentional drowning cases in the years 2012 to 2016 with an aim of understanding the demographic details and factors contributing to drowning incidents in order that appropriate preventive actions could be taken. This sets the scene for this, first ever, Hong Kong Drowning Report.
